Welcome to Atlanta Business Chronicle’s first Who’s Who in Nonprofits section! On this and the following three pages, we feature 50 individuals who are influential in the world of nonprofit organizations in metro Atlanta.
Atlanta is home to five of the 20 largest U.S. nonprofit organizations, as well as famous philanthropists such as Arthur Blank, Bernie Marcus and Ted Turner. In addition, there are many local and state not-for-profit organizations working to improve the metro area and the lives of its citizens in health, education, arts and culture and many other ways. For this list, we relied on Atlanta Business Chronicle 2013-2014 Book of Lists research, input from respected community leaders and in-house research.
